Trustees

President, Mary Stimpert – Mary is a 1980 graduate of Crestview High School and received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Ashland University. She is a retired business teacher from the Amherst Schools. Mary is a strong supporter of Crestview Schools and nearby Ashland University. Her husband, Fred, is also a Crestview graduate. Together they have seven children.

Vice President, Drew Figley – Drew graduated from Crestview in 2007. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology at Heidelberg University. Then he continued his education, earning his DDS from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Drew lives with his wife, Emily; daughter, Ava; and their dog, Fiji.

Treasurer, Michael Volz – Michael is a Crestview graduate, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Finance/Business degree from Malone University. He has worked in the local financial and business community since 1999, both as a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Michael and his wife, Amy, live in the Crestview district with their children, Matthew and Allison.

Secretary, Janey Fulk – As a 2010 graduate of Crestview High School, Janey continued her education at the University of Mount Union. After earning her bachelor degree in Middle Childhood Education, Janey returned to live in the Crestview community and enjoys working on her family’s dairy farm. She is also a current science teacher for Ontario Local Schools.

Melanie McNaull Huber – Melanie, a graduate of BGSU, taught government and other social studies classes at CHS from 1976-2007 and also served as senior class advisor. Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their family, which includes two daughters, their husbands, and five lively grandchildren.

Rebecca Kidney – Rebecca was a teacher and coach in the Crestview district for 21 years. She currently works as an educational consultant for the Mid-Ohio Educational Services Center and still serves the teachers and students of Crestview. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Ashland University and Master of Education in 2003. She still volunteers at sporting events and enjoys watching her children participate.

David Stimpert – Dave has served on the CEF board since 2010. He is a 1999 Crestview graduate and resides in the district with his wife and four children. After working as a local attorney for 17 years, Dave was elected as Judge of the Ashland County Common Pleas Court General and Domestic Relations Division in 2023.

Emily Figley – Emily graduated from Crestview in 2008. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Heidelberg University, then a Masters in Occupational Therapy from The Ohio State University. Emily works in the area as an Occupational Therapist and enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew; their daughter, Ava; and their dog, Fiji.

Steve Willeke – Steve and his wife, Marla, have lived in the district since 1982. They raised two kids, Katie and Steve, who both attended Crestview Schools. Marla taught at the Union Elementary School, and Steve was the elementary principal and then school superintendent for 15 years before retiring. Steve feels that Crestview is a special school district with wonderful community support.
